About Me

Dip. Couns, PG Dip. CBP, MBACP.

I am an experienced BACP registered Counsellor and Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. I am passionate about helping people and have been working with clients for five years.

I hold a BACP Accredited Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (Level Five) and a Post Graduate Diploma in CBP, awarded from the University of Salford with distinction.

My therapy career began in community-based mental health organisations within the Greater Manchester area. My additional training in cognitive behavioural therapy, has led to clinical work within both primary and secondary care settings for several NHS trusts.

Working privately allows me to focus more on the individual needs of my clients and less on those of a large organisation. I work with individuals and couples from all backgrounds and I welcome and respect diversity.

Because we are individual, one therapeutic model definitely doesn’t fit all when it comes to our psychological wellbeing.  I therefore value the flexibility of using an integrative approach - drawing on my person-centred counselling skills and those from my additional training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness and Compassion Focused Therapy.

Both my personal and professional philosophies come from a place of compassion, and believing that every individual has the innate capacity to move beyond adversity and flourish.

When I work with you, my aim is to help you get the most from every session.
